I love a good clam shell exercise
I always aim to build a base with my clients. So that means we don’t start with the most challenging exercises.
Is the clam shell the most functional exercise? No. But I like prescribing it to help you learn to fire your glute with a movement, and then progress to a more functional exercise.
If you have any hip, low back or knee pain, this is a great exercise to start with ..
This is a modified clam shell which is especially great for those with lateral hip pain. And definitely a little more challenging then your regular clam shell!
