Rest ≠ Rehab

I see this happen all too often:

Back Pain: Lay on the couch and avoid all movement

Knee pain: Give up your favourite activities 

I learned pretty quickly in my career that people just accept their pain, and rest is not always the answer. 

After your year of rest, those muscles are going to be weak and atrophied. Also you won’t have the adequate strength to handle the stresses of whichever sport/activity you want to do.
